Humble Abode

Claiming Orlando as my home has been a beautiful thing. I grew up in South Florida and have lived in Orlando for 5 years now! My tiny apartment, only 15 minutes away from Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a magical dream. One of the best parts has been designing the inside to create a sense of comfort and peace. I’m excited to share a few of my favorite staple pieces that have transformed my living space.

 1. The couch (linked) we selected is from City Furniture . We love the simplicity of it how the dark gray color has brought some depth to the room. One regret is that we didn’t purchase the matching ottomans.

2. The large, white, rug is the best part of this entire living area. It is super soft and feels great on your feet. This was purchased from Home Goods.

3. One thing you can never have enough of is throw blankets. This Faux Fur Ruched Throw (linked)  in the color ivory is practically perfect. It is from Pottery Barn and oh so cozy. There have been plenty of times where I have fallen asleep on the couch with this draped over me. The rest of the throw blankets are kept in a basket next to the couch (linked). This basket from Target is the extra large, round, wire basket with copper handles.

4. The framed pictures are the newest pieces. These matte 11 X 14 frames are from Target (linked), and the pictures are older photos turned black and white. We love how it filled up this empty wall space, but also provided a hint of childhood memories.

5. The Entertainment Center was purchased from Target. We wanted the wood color to match the cabinets in the kitchen. It holds plenty of storage underneath with doors that close to hide items that you don't want visible to guests. It is the perfect size for this smaller wall space.

6. We are still in the process of deciding whether we should put curtains up on the two windows sandwiching the french doors. Any ideas and opinions are welcomed. These french doors allow for so much natural light to pass through. I love how bright it makes the room.

7. The last part is so special. Opening the french doors and being able to witness the most gorgeous sunsets every night AND the Disney's Fireworks is why this is a magical dream.

Share you living space with me let me know your favorite things that make your space so quaint and peaceful. ♡
